We need to decide on a model for a cell phone booster and plan out how it is to be installed. Let's set a deadline for this project as 6/1/2020 for this design/planning phase of this project so I have some time to get this done before everyone comes in July.
The gain is the main spec that we should be looking at when comparing different models
I won't be able to take field measurements to help decide on a model and where to mount the antenna because my phone has a Qualcomm chipset rather than an Intel chipset and therefore isn't able to enter into field test mode
We need to decide if we want to go with a Verizon specific booster or a booster than amplifies the signal of all carriers. The advantage of a carrier-specific booster is that the FCC regulations allow for about a 40% larger (100db vs. 72 db) amplification relative to a "carrier-general" booster
We will want a directional antenna model
Dome antenna are installed on the ceiling and transmit signal in all directions while panel antenna are installed on a wall and transmit in one direction
