Ideas for Clearing

I’m wondering if anyone has any ideas for the clearing at the southwest corner of our property. There is a locked gate with some feeding troughs in front of it off of the wackers driveway to this area.

One of the things I thought of is to start transplanting small trees here particularly those dense areas of trees near the driveway or next to the shop.
